GLASS ART GALLERY
This pond scene was created using only crushed bits of glass in a technique known as "Fritography". A variety of "grits" were used to allow different textures. It is an individual creation with special attention given to each and every detail. The art of glass fusion is able to capture the harmony between color and light.
This piece was fired multiple times for the layered and textured effect and then fired one last time in a custom plate mold that added the relief pattern to the back of the plate. The mold design comes through the picture in the more transparent parts, adding even more depth and light bending effects to the finished piece.
This plate measures approximately 5" by 5" and comes with a small clear plastic plate stand for presentation.
