This painting is of dad on the side of his house
in Rocklin Ca. His garden was award winning
as he somehow was able to grow medicinal
plants that had no business growing the climate
of the area. His secret wasn't that far fetched.
We threw everything biodegradable on the soil.
I did a lot of maintinance for his garden in the
early nineties and fumes from some of the
grotesque crap he had buried would almost
knock me to the ground. His garden was his #1
source of pride and it showed.
Watercolor and gauche painted on watercolor
paper. 18 x 24 inches
